BRUCE A. HELDT, CPA, JD

Bruce A. Heldt, CPA, JDBruce’s areas of emphasis are income tax, estate tax, and business consulting. He has over twenty-five years of experience in public accounting and serves a wide range of individual and small business clients.

Bruce received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Chicago in 1971 and his law degree from the University of Illinois in 1974. He also completed the first year towards a master’s degree in accounting at the University of Illinois while attending law school. 

Before moving to Eugene, Bruce was a supervisor in the tax department of Coopers & Lybrand in Chicago. After moving to Eugene, he started his own practice and worked for several other local firms before joining Isler in 1986 as a manager. He has been a partner since 1993.

Professionally, Bruce is a member and past president of the Eugene-Springfield Tax Association, a member of the Eugene Estate Planning Council, and a member of the Executive Committee of the Accounting Circle at the U of O Lundquist College of Business. He has also served on various tax related committees of the Oregon Society of CPAs.

Although it is not a current area of emphasis, Bruce does have considerable computer consulting experience. He received a certificate of educational achievement in computer consulting from the California Society of CPAs and was a co-founder and president of the Eugene ACCPAC Accounting Software Users Group.

In the community, Bruce is currently a member of the Eugene Delta Rotary Club, the St. Thomas More University Parish Finance Council, and the Archdiocese of Portland Pastoral Council. He has previously been a member of the Southeast Neighbors Association Board of Directors, the Eugene Delta Rotary Club Board of Directors, the United Way Endowment Professional Advisory Committee, the U of O Chamber Music Series Advisory Board, the Eugene Celebration Steering Committee, and the St. Thomas More University Parish Pastoral Council. He has also previously served as chair of the Lane County Cultural Coalition Planning Committee and as president of the Delta Rotary Foundation, Oregon Mozart Players,
and McKenzie Personnel Systems.

At home, Bruce enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, reading, listening to music, playing piano, and fitting in as many outdoor activities as possible.
