Gary
Iskra (Oregon Municipal Roster Number 1223) attended
Miami University, graduating in 1979 with a B.S. in
Accounting. During his university studies, Gary was
selected to intern with Coopers and Lybrand. After
graduation, Gary took a full time position with
Coopers and Lybrand in their Eugene, Oregon office.
He has a
diverse background both in public and private
accounting. In addition to his experience in public
accounting, Gary worked for the City of Eugene for two
years as an analyst in the reporting and control
division developing financial reporting models and he
worked in private industry for six years managing an
emerging business enterprise. The City of Eugene
received the GOFA certificate of conformance for the
years he worked on the annual reports.
Along with
performing audit service, Gary has performed several
non-traditional services, including computer
consulting, construction cost analysis, and tax
services. The industries Gary is currently serving
include: Native American organizations, nonprofit
organizations, and closely-held businesses.
Gary is a
Paul Harris Fellow and member of Rotary International
and is a member of the Eugene Emerald Rotary Club.
Gary also serves as treasurer for the Junction City
chapter of Habitat for Humanity. He is a member of the
Oregon Society and American Institute of Certified
Public Accountants.
Gary's
recent continuing education includes: governmental
accounting and auditing; nonprofit accounting and
auditing; and, the OSCPA governmental accounting and
auditing conference held in Eugene.
